Drug Testing Refresher Course

This month we wanted to point out a few reminders regarding drug testing procedures.

When sending an employee or prospective employee to do a pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, or random test for drug and/or alcohol, you must make sure to send them with a completed AADT Form 111.

This form can be found online or in Section 6 of your AADT binder. The Form 111 contains valuable information for the collector regarding our testing and billing protocol and why the person is there. If you have a pre-printed Chain of Custody Form (CCF’s) then please send them with the employee.

When selecting a contracted collection site, you can go to our website homepage at: aadrugtesting.com and hit the red icon labeled (CONTRACTED COLLECTION SITE LIST), then enter the zip code and this will produce a list of sites in that area/zip code and you can also hit the “map it” button to get directions. If you choose a LabCorp facility, you MUST make sure the individual you are sending has both the AADT Form 111 and Chain of Custody form or they will be turned away.

AADT must have copies of all paperwork when a Random test is completed so it can be documented in our system, failure to do so will cause a “Second Notice” to go out, and failure to respond to the Second Notice will force the system to mark a NON-RESPONSE in your client file. Also, if you do not send back the documentation on the random test and a second notice is generated and the driver/employee tests again, then the company will be billed for the second test.
