Another Year, More Changes

Our first month of 2016 has come to an end and if that’s an example of what the year is going to be like then we are prepared for a fast roller coaster ride. The month flew by so quickly but not without many changes for 2016.

We have been updating all our documents including the Compliance Manual and should have all the updated information available online at www.aadrugtesting.com hopefully before the end February. We are also looking at changing the renewal forms and random notifications to a simpler format.

With all these modifications you want to always make sure that you review any changes your company might have put in place for the New Year along with the fact that the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is constantly doing changes and updating the U.S. DOT regulations on a yearly basis. So checking for changes and making updates to your Company Policy should be something all clients think about annually.

AADT continually has updates on U.S. DOT regulations on our website and hope that our clients are taking advantage of using the most updated forms available from the FMCSA website annually. There have been several FMCSA updates and we have updated the SAMPLE COMPANY POLICIES to reflect those changes. Some of the new updates are the hours-of –service regulations, new e-chains, testing percentages and the future allowance for saliva and hair follicle testing, etc. AADT will continue to have all updated information available for all AADT clients on our website as they arise. But remember that ultimately the motor carrier is responsible for making sure that they are aware of all U.S. DOT changes and updates which can be found at
www.fmcsa.dot.gov.

Also your MIS annual reports for 2015 and Consortium Data are now available for you to download from the AADT website which should be done in the month of February each year for your inspections. Our laboratories, LabCorp & Medtox, have been mailing directly to our clients your semiannual reports for July-December of 2015. Please do not discard the reports they should be placed in your files for all future inspections.

We at AADT hope that 2016 will be a prosperous year for all.
